This weekend at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival in New Hope, PA, you can see my wallhanging called A City Walk in Spring I created from a photo I took in Annecy, France. It was fun to enhance the buildings using strong colored batiks with texture definitely enhancing the real thing. I also use fabric paints to add detail to the design like the little light fixtures. I painted them on muslin and then fused them on afterward. This piece was done with my fusing technique I have developed over the past few years.
